The Golden Triangle Red 8 and under baseball team won the Texas State Championship Tournament Sunday.

The Red Team defeated the Texas Extreme at Big League Dreams in Webster 9 - 1 in the championship game. They were seeded #1 after defeating the Baytown Bombers 15 - 1 and the San Antonio Tar Heels 14 - 0 on Saturday. These games led up to the Sunday game against the Express which produced a 12 - 2 win placing them in the finals.

This extraordinary team of young men will advance to the World Series in Sulphur, La. on July 5 to compete with teams from all over the United States.
