Orange County Commissioners Court honored local Salvation Army Captains Frankie and Jan Zuniga with a special plaque and proclamation thanking them for their work here, especially during disasters like hurricanes, tornadoes, and freezes. The Zunigas transferred to the Orange County Salvation Army weeks before Hurricane Harvey in late August 2017. They are being transferred to McAllen, Texas.
