Allan “Limey” Bowman, 65, of Bridge City, passed away Friday, Jan. 11, 2008 at the Harbor Hospital of Southeast Texas in Orange.

A memorial service to remember Limey’s life will be at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, Jan. 15, in the Chapel of Dorman Funeral Home in Orange .

Born on Jan. 15, 1942 in Sunderland, England to Stanley and Vera (Cook) Bowman, he served as a member of the British Royal Navy.

Bowman lived in Southeast Texas for the last 40 years most recently in Bridge City.

He was a crane operator with Inland-Orange and he enjoyed sailing as well as spending time with friends.

Mr. Bowman is preceded in death by his father.

He is survived by his wife, Bonnie Bowman of Bridge City; mother, Vera Cook Bowman of Sunderland, England; sister, Susan Bowman of Sunderland, England and brother, David Bowman and wife Christine of Sunderland, England as well as a host of friends.
