Agatha D. Nabours, 91, died July 29, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center in San Augustine, Texas, following a short illness. 

A graveside service will be held at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bridge City, Texas, at 2:00 P.M. on July 31, 2008.

She was born July 28, 1917, at Milam, Texas, to Lee and Jane Davidson. A former resident of Bridge City, Texas, for over 50 years, she currently resided at El Camino House in San Augustine.

Agatha was a graduate of Lamar University and an elementary school teacher. She retired from the Bridge City Independent School District in 1982. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of San Augustine.

Agatha was preceded in death by her parents; her husband J.C. Nabours Jr.; a brother Gary Davidson and a grandson Sean Nabours.

She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Larry and Melody Nabours of Cottonwood Falls, Kansas; Don and Kelly Nabours of Yakima, Washington; Dahl and Mary Nabours of Round Rock, Texas: brother David Truett Davidson of Troutdale, Oregon; granddaughters Cathy Nabours of Austin, Texas, and Krystle Cox of Harker Heights, Texas; grandson Brian Nabours of Los Angeles, California; great-grandson Brady Cox of Harker Heights, Texas; and sister-in-law Jeanette Davidson of San Augustine, Texas.

The family requests that memorials be made to either First Baptist Church of San Augustine or First Baptist Church of Bridge City.
