Pamella Ives Shaver, 64, of Orange died Tuesday, Jan. 27, 2009, at Memorial Hermann Baptist Hospital in Orange. Funeral service was Saturday, Jan. 31, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange. Mr. Tommy Goins of Church of Christ in Bridge City officiated. Interment followed at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Pamella was born April 4, 1944, in Corpus Christi, to Quay DeWitt and Dorothy Marie (Sears) Ives.

Mrs. Shaver was a member of Church of Christ in Bridge City and a retired school teacher from the Bridge City School District. She was preceded in death by her parents, Quay and Dorothy Ives and her son Shaun Shaver.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Shaver; son, Jeremy Shaver and wife Jamie of Tempe, Ariz.; grandsons, Michael Shaver and Matthew Shaver; brother, Patrick Ives and wife Kathie of White Lake, Mich.; nieces and nephew, Amanda Morrison, Jessica Ives and Brian Ives.

Serving as pallbearers were Brian Ives, Bob Sears, Owen Sears, Kevin Knott, Ricky Knott and Brennan Dobbs. Honorary pallbearers were Ronnie Sears and Jeremy Shaver.
