The body Patrick Alan Boudreaux was found in a car on the side of Farm Road 408 in Orangefield Friday.

Orange County deputies responded to a call at about 7:45 a.m., Capt. Tommy Smith said. The caller reported finding a man in a black Toyota Camry, motionless and possibly deceased.

Boudreaux was identified as a 44-year-old white male, Smith said.

Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace Janice Menard ordered an autopsy. The body was transferred to the Jefferson County morgue and coroner’s office.

The autopsy did not show any signs of foul play. Preliminary results indicate suicide, but final determination awaits return of toxicology reports.

The case remains under investigation.
