Thelma Everett, 82, of Bridge City, died Wednesday May 6, 2009 in her residence.

Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday from Levingston Funeral Home in Groves, with the Rev. Chris Bottoms officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City.

A visitation for family and friends will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday in the funeral home.

Thelma was born Oct. 8, 1926, in Jasper, Ala., to Ed and Pernie Kilgore Rutledge. She was an area resident for 56 years and member of Friendship Baptist Church in Groves.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Everett and grandson Colin Everett.

Survivors include her three sons, Richard Everett and wife, Debbie, David Everett and wife, Marilyn, Robert Everett and wife, Susan all of Bridge City; two sisters, Lucille Roberts of Katy and Nell Dailey of Groves; five grandchildren, Dustin Everett and wife, Rheanna, Scott Everett, Brock Everett and wife, Jeanette, William Everett and wife, Bonnie, Stuart Everett; two great-grandchildren, Easton Everett and Castor Everett.


The family would like to thank Serenity House in Port Arthur and Odyssey Hospice.
