Orange Jackie ‘Maw Maw’ Regan, 78, of Orange, died Tuesday, June 23, 2009, at Harbor Hospital in Orange. Funeral services were Friday, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange, with the Rev. Joseph P. Daleo of St. Mary Catholic Church, officiating. Burial was at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Deacon Melvin Payne recited the rosary Thursday evening at the funeral home.

Jackie was born in Voth on Feb. 25, 1931.  She was the daughter of Dock Howard Hill and Vera Blair.

Jackie was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend.

She had a keen wit and a unique sense of humor.

Jackie loved sewing, making doll clothes, antiques and especially enjoyed her pet bird ‘Simon’ who she dearly loved.

Jackie will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

She said she was especially blessed by her grandchildren Melinda, Michael, Jade, Jesika and James who helped care for her during her illness.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Thomas ‘Buddy’ Regan III; daughters, Patricia Regan Clark and Rebecca Loftin.

Jackie is survived by her daughters, Tammy McDuff and her husband Mike of McLewis Community, Dwanna Anderson and her husband Stephen of Baytown and Katrina Pechonis of Tennessee; eleven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law, Jerry David and Betty Hill of Porter; and sisters and brothers-in-law, Connie and Jack Payton of High Island and Lois and Bill Daigle of Tyler.

Serving as Pallbearers were Mike McDuff, Michael McDuff, James Thibodeaux, Crow Thibodeaux, Brooks Tally and Stephen Anderson. Honorary Pallbearer was Jerry Hill.
