Missing boaters found alive

J.B. Arrington and Nolan Foreman, boaters missing since a 911 call yesterday afternoon have been found alive according to Det. Chad Hogan of the Orange County Sheriff's Department.

A search was conducted for two boaters after Cameron Parish Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call yesterday around 2:30 p.m. Arrington and Foreman, both of Orange, advised they had run out of gas and were stuck on a mud flat. They gave their location as east of the Sabine Lake, possibly in Louisiana.

A search for the 17’ Monarch Whaler and its passengers began, conducted by the Texas Parks and Wildlife Dept., Louisiana Wildlife and Fisheries Dept. and the Coast Guard.

Today they were joined by the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Marine Unit.

Det. Chad Hogan from the Sheriff’s Office confirmed the two had been found alive this evening. The Coast Guard located the two men in Blacks Bayou, La., approximately four to five miles into the bayou from Sabine Lake. Both men were in good condition.
