Jimmy R. Whitmore, 45, of Vidor, died Friday, Aug. 28, 2009, in Christus-St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

Funeral services were Monday in Memorial Funeral Home with burial in Del Rose Cemetery.

A native of Gaston, Ala., he was a boilermaker with Conex. Jimmy is survived by his wife Janice Whitmore, son Dustin Whitmore of Starks, La., daughters Ashley Fairchild, Taunda Whitmore, and Sabrina Marie all of Vidor, parents Richard and Jean Whitmore of Crossville, AL., brothers Johnny Whitmore, and Danny Whitmore both of Crossville, Ala., Dale Whitmore of Boaz, Ala., and Chris Whitmore of Bethlehem, Ga., sister Brenda Rich of Lumberton; and seven grandchildren.
