A man faces charges of aggravated assault and was in the Orange County jail late Tuesday. His bond was set at $25,000.
Orange County Sheriff’s Detective Chad Hogan said that on Saturday around 8:30 p.m., deputies received a 9-11 call from the 3000 block of Texas Avenue about a stabbing.
On arrival deputies found the victim, a 48 year-old Yorktown, Va., resident had been stabbed by Forrest Lee Hawthorne, 49, who lives at the same address.
The victim told deputies he had been stabbed by Hawthorne, reports showed.
“He was not able to give any other details,” Hogan said. “The suspect would not advise deputies what had transpired to cause the incident.”
The victim was transported by air to Christus-St. Elizabeth Hospital, he said.
“The extent of the victim’s injuries is not known at this time,” Hogan said.
