Margaret E. Kirchmer, 88, of Vidor died Monday, Oct.  5, 2009, in Christus-St. Elizabeth Hospital in Beaumont.

A Rite of Committal service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in Restlawn Memorial Park in Vidor under direction of Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor.

A native of Memphis, Tenn., she had been a Golden Triangle resident since 1946 and was a chemist with Dupont. She was a class of 1942 graduate of Agnes Scott College in Atlanta and a member of the Camelia and Orchid societies.

Margaret was preceded in death by her husband Jack Kirchmer, parents Harry and Charlie Wade, and sister Kathleen Medlock.

She is survived by her sons John Thomas “Dr. Tom” Kirchmer Jr., and his wife Dr. Nancy of Beaumont, and Robert James “Bob” Kirchmer and his wife Debbie of Tulsa, Okla., four grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
