LCM students selected for All-Region Choir

The Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School Choir attended All-Region auditions at Nederland High School recently. Sixteen students earned much sought after spots in the All-Region Choir.

They are: Soprano 1 -  Sarah Wilmore and Bridget Pattillo; Alto 1 - Jamie Hudson, Emaley Torbert, Ashtin Williamson, and Cydney Hines; Alto 2 – Mackenzie Price, Gabrielle Johnson and Jessica Mugleston; Tenor 1 - Ryan Courtier; Bass 1 – ‘Rico Vásquez, Corey Richardson, Jonathan McCollum, and John Clark; Bass 2 – Brandon Boze and Josh Davis.

The next round of competition on the road to State for these students will be held Oct. 24 at Baytown Lee High School.

The All-Region Choir Concert will be held at 7 p.m., Nov. 3 at the Julie Rogers Theatre in Beaumont.

Little Cypress Junior High Choir students also attendedAll-Region Choir auditions. Five students earned spots in one of the choirs.


Bridgett Bonneaux will sing in the Treble Choir. Jason Picard, Colby Quebodeaux, Taylor Peveto, and Kayl Simon will sing with the Tenor/Bass Choir.

This is Kayl Simon’s second year in this prestigious group.

LCJH Choir Director, Stephanie Teague, said, “I am very proud of the effort these students put forth and look forward to their concert next month.”
