Pinehurst police are looking for two men who robbed the Valero convenience store, 1427 Strickland Drive, around 11:10 p.m. Saturday.

According to Chief Fred Hanauer III, the store clerk said he was robbed by two men as he left the store and walked to his car.

The suspects brandished a knife and a firearm, possibly a rifle, reports said. They took the clerk’s wallet and cell phone, then attempted to enter the business by forcing him to unlock the door. Unable to remove the outer lock, both suspects fled on foot.

They were described as wearing ski masks, with one wearing a burnt orange, long-sleeved University of Texas shirt, possibly a sweat shirt.

Aggravated robbery is felony punishable by five to 99 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.

Anyone with information is asked to call Pinehurst police at 886-2221, Eastex Crime Stoppers at 724-TIPS or texting to TIP211 plus the message to 274637 from your cell phone or mobile device. The message will be sent anonymously.
