Bridge City William F. “Casey” Bryant Jr., 77, of Bridge City, died, Friday, Dec.25, 2009, at his residence in Bridge City. Funeral services will be 1 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 29 at First Baptist Church in Bridge City.  Officiating will be the Rev. Charles Miller. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Bridge City. Visitation will be from 5-9 p.m., Monday, at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Casey was born on March 16, 1932 in Louisiana. He was the son of William F. Bryant Sr. and Lela (Self) Bryant. He was a retired Captain from the U. S. Army. Casey was a member of the Reserve Unit of the Bridge City Police Department, the Masonic Lodge in Bridge City, and First Baptist Church in Bridge City. He worked with the Bridge City Independent School District for 50 years and enjoyed raising miniature horses.

He is preceded in death by his grandson, Tryson Bryant.

Casey is survived by his wife, Mary Hargrave Bryant of Bridge City; daughter and son-in-law, Sherry and Bryan Mulhollan of Bridge City; sons, Kim Bryant of Maypearl, Texas, Billy Bryant of Buna and Matt Bryant and daughter-in-law, Melissa of Tampa, Fla.; grandchildren, Mandi Mulhollan, Dylan Mulhollan, and Tre Bryant; great-grandchildren, Aidyn Mulhollan and Carter Mulhollan; sisters, Ruth Cotton and Olene Sigler; and brothers, Cecil Bryant and Allen Bryant.

Honorary pallbearers are the Bridge City Police Department.
