Cards fall to Hardin Jefferson

The Bridge City Cardinals couldn’t take down Hardin Jefferson Tuesday with a final score of 74-45. According to Cardinal Coach Tony Knight, Bridge City was down by only 4 with 2:22 left on the clock in the 2nd quarter, but ended the period 38-22 at the half.
Knight said Hardin Jefferson made up 10 to 12 points in about a minute and a half.
The Cards’ district record goes to 2 and 4 and HJ goes to 5 and 1.
BC leading scorers were: Nate McAnelly with 13 and Zach Heinze with 11.
HJ leading scorers were: Will Anderson with 12, Jacoby Turner with 17, Sutherland 17.
