Milford “Peanut” Nichols, 55, of Bridge City died Friday, April 23, 2010, at his home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Tuesday, April 27 at St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City. Officiating will be the Rev. Brad Morgan of St. Paul United Methodist Church in Bridge City, and the Rev. Bill Phillips of St. Paul Episcopal Church of Orange. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens near Bridge City. Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m., Monday at Claybar Funeral Home in Bridge City.

Born in Orange on Nov. 11, 1954, Milford was the son of Sarah Cowan and Milford Quinten Nichols Sr. He was retired from the Air Force and worked in the family business at Nick’s Pharmacy.

Milford was preceded in death by his parents and his late wife, Brenda.

He is survived by his wife, Denise Nichols; son and daughter-in-law, Jeremy and Stephanie Nichols of Little Cypress; son, Charlie Nichols of Bridge City; stepdaughter, Holly Babineaux also of Bridge City; grandchildren, Jaelyn Nichols, Brittany Gardner, and Malanna Molley; sister, Margaret Nichols-Jeffcote of Bridge City; and brother, Wilbur Nichols and wife, Becky, also of Bridge City.


Serving as pallbearers will be Joe Hebert, Terrell Hatton, Donnie Mulhollan, David Riddling, Ron Prescott, and Jim Vestal. Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Jeffcote, Bill Nichols, Anthony Williams, Sam Nichols, Calvin Stakes, and Lynn Peveto.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Odyssey Hospice or favorite charity.
