Mrs. Doris A. Wells, 72, of Orange passed away on Monday, Oct. 11 at Harbor Hospice in Beaumont.

A visitation will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 12 from 5 to 9 p.m. at Dorman Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, Oct. 13 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park.

She was a native of Madison, Fla. and was born Oct. 30, 1937. She is the daughter of the late Floyd Barker and Fannie Mae (Head) Barker and has lived in the Orange area since 1967.

She love to read and was a member of Little Cypress Baptist Church, where she enjoyed singing in the choir and playing the piano. Her great joy in life was spending time with her family, who will miss her dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents and son, David Wells.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bennie “Bo” Wells of Orange; daughters, Brenda Deshotel and husband Ricky of Orange, Gina Schardan and husband Rich of Bridge City; grandchildren, Brandi Eads, Brad Eads, Corey Bourliea, Candace Bourliea, Chrissy Bourliea, Jason Deshotel and five great grandchildren.
