She worked and retired from the Little Cypress-Mauriceville Consolidated School District. After high school, she worked for the telephone company where she met and later married the love of her life, Hooks Roberts. Together they made their home in Orange where they raised their three children.

She also is survived by her sister, Katy Horn of Carthage; brother, Ervin White of Carthage; and numerous nephews and her niece.

Martha’s life was centered on her faith in God, love and devotion to family and principles of honesty and hard work. She prayed daily for each of us and always encouraged us.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Hooks “Pappy” Roberts; a baby sister, Mattie May White; sister, Louise Rhodes; brother, George White; and great-granddaughter, Bristol Marie Myers.

Serving as pallbearers will be Ron Roberts, James Roberts, Keith Wall, Justin Roberts, Jacob Roberts and Ryan Myers.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers, memorial donations to be made to Little Cypress Baptist Church.

The family would like to thank Dr. James Jones, Kevin Sparks and the many professionals at River City Hospice, Sabine House and Meals on Wheels for their exceptional love and care shown to our mother and family.
