On Wednesday evening, Officer J.E. Ellison, of the Orange Police Department responded to a call in the 200 block of Decatur, regarding disorderly conduct.

Upon arrival at the residence, the officer was advised that the disturbance was an argument between two siblings, and could hear a man yelling and cursing loudly from inside.

Officer Ellison spoke with the caller, Veronica Lastrape, who stated that her brother, who she identified as William J. Thomas, was becoming more aggressive towards her and cursing loudly.

The officer entered the residence and observed Thomas yelling profanities and refusing to calm down. Due to his violent behavior and there being several small children present, the officer had Thomas leave the residence in an attempt to calm him down.

Once outside, Thomas continued to curse loudly, causing several other residents to come out of their homes. Thomas’ behavior, and using profanity, is a breach of the peace.

After Thomas refused to cease using profanity, he was placed under arrest for disorderly conduct-language and transported to the Orange County Jail.
