A 50 year old Orange woman was arrested Monday evening for shoplifting at the Kroger store on 16 th St. in Orange. Officer Robert Campbell responded to the call at about 9:30 to a shoplifting report.

Officer Campbell spoke with the store manager, Rocky Hymel, who advised him that a black female had placed a $7.00 bag of candy in her jacket pocket then proceeded to check out. She paid for the other items she had, but did not pay for the candy in her jacket pocket.

The woman walked out the front door, past the last pay point and continued until Hymel stopped her. She could not produce a receipt for the candy, and was arrested for theft.

Rosezell Jones was transported to Orange County Jail and booked on a Class C theft charge.
