An explosion at a carbon plant in Orange on Thursday, led to an injured person being transported to the hospital by helicopter. The unidentified, injured person was said to have suffered burns on the arms and facial area.

The explosion at Degussa Engineered Carbons, a carbon black plant, in the 1500 block of Echo Ave., in Orange, was called minor and occurred shortly before 11:00 am.
