West Orange – Stark High School Lady Mustang Demetrius Heard signed a scholarship to play basketball for the Kilgore College Lady Rangers.

Heard, a four year member of the Lady Mustang basketball team, has earned All-District honors during the past three seasons, District Offensive Most Valuable Player honors during the past two seasons, and All-Region accolades this year.

She is looking forward to the move to Kilgore, which is located south of Longview.

“It’s a small town. Everyone makes you feel so welcome there. I think it’s a great start,” Heard said.

At Kilgore, she plans to pursue a major in criminal justice.
