An Orange man was arrested Thursday evening for public intoxication, after trespassing on a neighbor’s property. Mason Baron Stanley was taken into custody after police responded to a neighbor’s home in the 1400 block of Hart.

The victim told police that Stanley had come to his home, and was trying to pull open the screen door to the residence to make entry. Stanley then left the residence and returned to his home, also in the 1400 block of Hart.

Officer James Gillen, with the Orange Police Dept., made contact with Stanley at his home. While speaking with Stanley, he detected the strong odor of alcohol on his breath. Stanley also was swaying while standing in place and had a loss of balance.

Officer Gillen advised Stanley not to return to the complainant’s home, and to stay in his house. Police also advised Stanley that a criminal trespass warning was being issued to him, which was logged through dispatch.

Police went back to the victim’s home to speak with him. While police were at the home of the victim, Stanley came back onto the property.

At that time, Officer Gillen placed Stanly into custody and transported him to the Orange County Jail, where he was booked for public intoxication.
