Daddy’s Boy

When I was young my daddy died, all I remember is that I cried.

I do remember that it was hard on my mom all she could do is sit and sob.

My dad was a wonderful man he was really good with his hands.

Sometimes I wish he wouldn’t have died, but when I do I always cry.

Now he’s in a better place with my prayers and God’s grace.

As I write this poem I’m shedding tears because it’s been so many years.

He treated my mom very good just like every other man should.

He made me who I am today and that’s all I have to say.
