Thomas E. Wiegand, 86, of Woodville passed away August 18.

Born Dec. 7, 1924 in Kyle, Texas to William and Toni Doyle Wiegand, he lived in Orange for 43 years before retiring to Woodville 18 years ago.

A devoted and loving teacher and assistant principal with the Orange I.S.D. and West Orange Cove I.S.D., he touched the lives of many people who still use the values he taught to this day. He served in the U. S. Navy during World War II in the Pacific.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother, William D. Wiegand and a grandchild, Brian Adam Wiegand.

He is survived by his loving wife, Gwynne R. Wiegand; daughter, Dorothy W. Mosley of Lake Charles; sons, Daniel E. Wiegand, Donald R. Wiegand and Dwayne A. Wiegand all of Orange; sister, Dorothy W. Parker of Seguin; brothers, John D. Wiegand of Dale and Rex D. Wiegand of Kyle; 14 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.


Donations may be made in Mr. Wiegand's name to the V.F.W. Post 2033 in Woodville, Texas.

A private family service will be held at a later date. Services are held under the direction of Riley Funeral Home in Woodville.
