Erna Mae Dugat, 92, of Kountze, died Jan. 21, at Kountze Nursing Center surrounded by her loving family.

Erna was born Jan. 5, 1920 in Melder, LA. to Noah John and Ada Laneece (Lounsberry) Rhame. A resident of Sour Lake for seventy years she moved to Kountze two years ago. She was a retired Dietary Supervisor for Milam Nursing Home in Beaumont where she worked for more than eighteen years.

She is survived by her son, H. P. Peanut Dugat and his wife Sue of Hillister; son-in-law, Michael Petry and his wife Kathryn of Bridge City; grandchildren, Darrell Dugat of Austin, Micah Petry and his wife Greta of Bridge City, Derek Petry and his wife Jill of St. Joseph, Missouri, Katy Petry of Bridge City; great grandchildren, Colyn, Braden, Jenna, Regan and Quinton Petry; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her husband, C. P. Son Dugat, her daughter, Janie Petry, seven brothers and three sisters.

Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 25, at Broussard's, 530 W. Monroe, Kountze, with burial to follow at noon, at Abshire Cemetery in Hankamer.

A gathering of her family and friends will be Tuesday, Jan. 24, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Broussard's.
