The Record Newspapers - Hometown News For Orange County, Texas

On Saturday, Feb. 4, the Little Cypress-Mauriceville High School UIL Prose and Poetry team competed at the PNG Academic Tournament. Students advanced through difficult Preliminary and Semi-Final Rounds, and placing in Finals were:

Aaron Alford - First in Poetry, Courtney Atherton - Fifth in Poetry, Ashlee Meadows - Seventh in Poetry. Emily Dodd - Third in Prose, Kristin Yokum - Fourth in Prose, Haley Wright - Eighth in Prose.

LCM was the most represented school in Finals Competition and combined for the most Prose and Poetry team points at the tournament. The group is under the direction of LCM Theater Director Cory Broom.
