Harry George Daniels, 86, of Lumberton, died Wednesday, March 14, at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, at Claybar Funeral Home Chapel in Orange with the Rev. Lynn Ashcraft officiating.

Burial will follow at Orange Forest Lawn Cemetery in West Orange.

Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home in Orange.

Harry was born in Jacksonville Beach, Fla., on Aug. 9, 1925. He served as a Staff Sergeant in the U.S. Army during WWII in Europe. Harry worked at Equitable Bag in Orange for 32 years and was an instructor for the Orange Power Squadron. During his retirement, he maintained an interest in landscaping physics and technical analysis of the stock market.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Louella T. Daniels; and step-daughter, Sandra Wilson.

Harry is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law, William G. and Glenda Daniels of Beaumont, John and Suzanne Daniels of Friendswood; and step-daughter and son-in-law, Linda and J.B. Willis of Pitkin, La.


In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Southeast Texas, 2050 Spindletop Avenue, Beaumont, Texas 77705.
