Tom Bob Tillery, 74, of Orange, passed away Friday, April 13, in Beaumont. Born on Nov. 25, 1937 in Nacogdoches, to his parents, Morris Keith Tillery and Opal Mansel (Parrish) Tillery.

He lived in the Orange area since 1959, was a teacher for the Little Cypress – Mauriceville School District where he taught distributive education and marketing and until his recent retirement, he taught in the homebound program for the Vidor School District. Tom Bob was a member of the Calvary’s Purchase Church in Orange and he was a big hearted man who was always willing to help others.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Llawana Priester Tillery; daughter Tonya Tillery Albright and brother, Guinn Tillery.

Those who will most cherish his memory are his sons, Dewis Tillery and wife, Cindy of Nacogdoches and John David Taylor of Orange; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren and a host of extended family and friends.

Graveside services to remember Tom Bob’s life will be at 3:30 P.M. Sunday, April 15, at the Fairview Cemetery in Nacogdoches with the Rev. Timothy Linscomb and the Rev. Dee Daniels, officiating.

A gathering of family and friends will be from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. Saturday at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.

Serving as honorary pallbearers are Tom Bob’s dear friends and partners in crime, Leonard Gallien and Adam Miller.
