Jimmy Glenn Saucier, 56, of Orange, formerly of Opelousas La., passed away on Friday, April 20, at St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur.

He was a native of Orange; born on Oct. 16, 1955 to late parents Marguerite Mixon and Gordon Lee Saucier Sr. He had lived most of his life in Opelousas, and the last five years in Orange. He was an active member of MacArthur Heights Baptist Church; handyman, singing, playing the organ, piano and guitar for services. He was a talented man, enjoying art, music, and riding his bicycle. Jimmy was a loving son, brother, uncle and friend who will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Marguerite Taylor; father, Gordon G. Saucier Sr .; step-father, J.R. Taylor; brothers, Leslie Paul Saucier and John Dale Saucier Sr.

He is survived by his brothers, Gordon Lee Saucier Jr. and wife, Margaret of Orange, Wayne Saucier and wife, Laura of Breaux Bridge, La., Danny Saucier and wife, Susan of Opelousas; sister in law, Lynn Saucier of Opelousas; 10 nieces and nephews; six great nieces and nephews; his loyal friends, Randy Hebert, Brad Jones, Pastor Jay Thomas and Youth Minster Aaron Little.


A visitation will be held on Monday, April 23, from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Dorman Funeral Home in Orange.

A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, at 10:00 am at the funeral home. A committal service will be held on Tuesday, April 24, at 3:00 pm at Methodist Cemetery in Palmetto, LA.
