The Port Arthur Historical Society invites young and old to the Museum of the Gulf Coast to enjoy afternoon tea and refreshments among the beautiful floral images on Tuesday, July 10 at 2:00 p.m.

This event is inspired by the stunning works featured in the temporary exhibition Blossom II: Art of Flowers on view through July 22. Port Arthur Historical Society members are free, and non-members are $5. Guests are encouraged to wear their favorite floral attire such as hats and dresses and are asked to RSVP to 982-7000 no later than July 6.

The Blossom exhibition features more than 50 original works from the International Competition sponsored by the Susan K. Black Foundation and curated by David J. Wagner, Ph.D. It is the second in an on-going series of traveling exhibitions of artworks depicting and interpreting flowers of all kinds.

The Museum of the Gulf Coast is owned and operated by the Port Arthur Historical Society in partnership with Lamar State College - Port Arthur and the City of Port Arthur. It is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday.
