Orange man arrested following aggravated robbery

Orange police arrested one of two men who burglarized The Sabine Park Apartments (formerly The Oaks). Officers were dispatched at 3:46 am in regards to a burglary in progress.

While en route, officers were advised that the two suspects had fled west from the apartment complex. The two suspects were located hiding behind a residence in the 500 block of Cherry.

The two suspects fled westward down Cherry Alley and split up when they reached 5th St. with one going North and then back to the East. This suspect was taken into custody when he was found hiding under a house in the 900 block of 4th St.

The suspect who was arrested is a 17 year old man from Orange. He was arrested for aggravated robbery and numerous misdemeanor charges. He was transported to the Orange County Jail.

Property stolen in the robbery was recovered, along with the two handguns used in the robbery. Both weapons were reported stolen in previous burglaries.


The second suspect remains at large.
