Vidor resident arrested for delivery, possession of marijuana

On Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators arrested Nicholas Tano Caldera, a 17 year old Vidor resident, for Delivery of Marijuana and Possession of Marijuana.

Undercover investigators were able to purchase marijuana from Caldera at his residence in the 900 block of Roberts St. in Vidor. Consent to search the residence was given to Investigators and approximately two pounds of marijuana was located. There were 43 individually wrapped bags of marijuana for the purpose of distribution. The marijuana has a street value of $2,500.

Caldera was arrested andtransported to the Orange County Correctional Facility and charged with Delivery of Marijuana and Felony Possession of Marijuana. The bond amount was set at $20,000 and Caldera remains in custody.

Sheriff Merritt will continue to dedicate resources to help keep illegal drugs out of the Orange County communities.
