The Orangefield High School volleyball team held its annual Dig Pink game on Tuesday, Oct. 2 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Players and spectators were encouraged to wear pink.

The Athletic Training Department sold “Real Bobcats Wear Pink” shirts to raise money for the American Cancer Society. The Bobcats raised approximately $1700 to donate to them in honor of breast cancer survivors. The backs of the shirts said “Supporting the fighters, admiring the survivors, honoring the taken and never ever giving up hope.”

The Lady Bobcats competed against the Bridge City Lady Cardinals and won in three straight games 25-19, 25-17, and 25-20. The Lady Bobcats are now 7-0 in district.
