Ugandan Children’s Choir coming to Golden Triangle

Last updated 4/17/2013 at Noon

“Several individuals have traveled with our ministry to Uganda and have experienced the true joy of worshiping with the children there,” explains Justin Hayes, the organization’s Director of Ministry Operations. “It has been the goal of PCM for years to be able to bring that joy to the people of the United States. A Beautiful Exchange explains this choir tour in many ways from the obvious exchange of cultures to the joy the choir will share because of the care they have received. It also serves as a reminder that no matter what continent we are on or what culture we are in, Jesus took on our sin in order to give us eternal life with Him.

What is more beautiful than that?”

The choir tour will kick off at the ministry’s second annual “Carry A Jerry for PCM” 5K and Family Walk. Race goers will get the first chance to meet the Ugandan children and hear them sing. The tour will continue for one month. Venues include businesses, schools and churches throughout the Tyler area as well as Austin, Houston, Dallas, and Orange, TX. For a complete tour schedule, go to http://www.pcmonline.org.

The PCM Ugandan Children’s Choir will be in the Golden Triangle area on April 21st through April 23rd. The choir will sing first at North Orange Baptist Church at 6 pm on Sunday, April 21st at 6 pm. On Monday morning, the choir will first sing at Community Christian School and then spend time interacting with students as a cultural exchange. Monday evening, the choir will briefly sing and interact with families at Mazzio’s Pizza in Orange around 6 pm. The choir finishes its tour in our area by singing at First Baptist Church Port Neches on Tuesday, April 23rd at 6:30 pm.
