Davie Ruth Thompson was called home to our Lord on May 16. Davie was born on Jan. 11, 1934 to Arthur B. Graves and Marie Todd Graves. A gathering of friends and family to celebrate her life, and works, will be at the Praise Center of the First United Methodist Church, Orange, at 7:00 p.m. Tuesday May 21. Davie Ruth was a graduate of Lutcher Stark High School, and went on to Business School.

Davie was a giving, caring, and beautiful woman who raised her family, traveled around the world, and then settled back in Orange. She was very active with her church family of First United Methodist Church and later with her church family at Faith United Methodist Church, Orange. She was instrumental in working with United Methodist Women and many church Outreach Programs along with many Children’s Miniseries. Davie was a devoted volunteer and worked tirelessly helping with a wide variety of Church Activities for many years.
