Officers from the Pinehurst Police Department responded to the following calls between July 10 and July 20:

July 10:

Officer Jocelyn Trussell conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of MLK Jr. Drive. A 29 year old white female, identified as Crystal Catherine Broomes was subsequently placed under arrest for an outstanding warrant for a probation violation issued in Hardin County.

Officer Leonard Roff conducted a traffic stop in the 3000 block of MacArthur Drive. A 20 year old white male identified as Marcus Espinoza was subsequently arrested for fail to carry, and exhibit drivers license upon demand. He also received a citation for littering after throwing a beer can from the vehicle upon being stopped. A white female passenger, 23 year old Heather Stark was also arrested for an outstanding warrant for a probation violation.

July 11:

Officer Leonard Roff responded to a residence on Enchanted Oaks in Pinehurst, in reference to Arson. On two occasions, a day apart, unknown subjects set fire to flower boxes that were attached to the front of the residence. Juveniles are suspected to have committed the arson.

July 12:

Officer Jocelyn Trussell received a report of an assault that occurred in the 3700 block of Mockingbird Street in Pinehurst.

July 13:

Officer Jocelyn Trussell was dispatched to 3650 Optimist Way in reference to theft.

Officer Leonard Roff responded to the intersection of Warbler and MLK in Pinehurst, in reference to a runaway child. The juvenile, a white male, also stole $400 from his grandmother prior to running away. He was later located on Interstate 10 near Highway 62 by the Orange Police Department, and released to his grandmother. The cash was recovered from the juvenile.

July 15:

Officer Leonard Roff responded to a disturbance at a trailer park in the 3800 block of Pheasant, in Pinehurst. A white male was transported by ambulance to Memorial Herman Hospital-Orange and was treated for several self inflicted lacerations made with a knife.

July 17:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur in reference to Theft. A low-boy trailer, valued at $2500, was stolen from the property.

A theft was reported at the Dollar General Store located at 2500 MLK in Pinehurst. A black male and white female removed merchandise from the store without paying for it. The merchandise, which includes canned drinks, medicine and laundry detergent are valued at $49.70.

July 18:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to a trailer park located at 3609 W. Park in reference to a theft. A 5,000 BTU air conditioning unit valued at $185 was taken from a residence.

July 20:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to a trailer park located at 3609 W. Park in reference to a hit and run accident involving three vehicles. The vehicle, and driver were located the following day, and the driver was identified. Charges are pending.
