Officers with the Pinehurst Police Department responded to the following calls between Aug. 2 and Aug. 20:

Aug. 2:

Officer M. Dempsey responded to a private property accident in a parking lot in the 200 block of Strickland Dr.

Aug. 4:

Officer J. Trussell received a report of an assault that occurred at an apartment complex in the 3000 Block of MacArthur Dr.

Officer J. Trussell responded to a disturbance at a foster home on 28th St. A juvenile at that location is alleged to have held a knife to the throat of another juvenile.

Aug. 5:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to the Parole Office located at 851 Dal Sasso Dr., in reference to warrant service. Devin Garrett, a 20 year old black male, was arrested for an outstanding parole violation warrant.

Aug. 7:

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to an apartment complex in the 1900 block of Camelot in reference to criminal mischief. The complainant discovered that someone had cut a tire on her vehicle.


Officer M. Dempsey responded to a burglary call at a trailer park in the 3600 block of W. Park.

Aug. 8:

Officer M. Dempsey responded to a theft at a retail store in the 2500 block of MLK Jr. Dr.

Aug. 9:

Officer J. Trussell was dispatched to 851 Dal Sasso in reference to warrant service. Russell Eugene Courtney, a 44 year old white male, was placed under arrest for an outstanding parole violation warrant.

Aug. 13:

Officer J. Trussell responded to the 2300 block of MacArthur Dr. in reference to telephone harassment.


Lt. K. Reneau responded to a pharmacy in the 200 block of Strickland in reference to prescription fraud.

Aug. 14:

Officer J. Trussell responded to the 3700 block of Mockingbird in reference to an unauthorized use of a vehicle. The complainant advised that someone, whom he knows, took a rented vehicle without permission.

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to Memorial Herman Baptist Hospital-Orange in reference to injury to an elderly person. An 82 year old white male was allegedly assaulted by his 50 year old spouse.

Aug. 15:

Officer M. Dempsey responded to a disturbance at at business in the 1500 block of Strickland Dr. A black female was issued a criminal trespass warning.


Officer M. Dempsey responded to the 1000 block of 28th St. in reference to a burglary. A vehicle and a storage shed were reported to have been burglarized.

Aug. 16:

Officer M. Dempsey responded to the 1500 block of Strickland Dr. in reference to an accident involving a motorcycle and an automobile.

Aug. 19:

Officer J. Trussell conducted a traffic stop in the 2900 block of W. Park. The driver, a 20 year old black male identified as Jamoni Robinson, was arrested for outstanding warrants.

Aug. 20:

Officer J. Trussell responded to the 3300 block of Peacock Dr. in reference to a dog bite. A seven year old female was attacked by a stray dog. The dog was later captured and transported to the animal shelter.


Officer J. Trussell responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of Macarthur Dr. in reference to a theft.
