Roy Johnson, 65, of Orange, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, at the Orange Villa Nursing and Rehabilitation in Orange. Born June 19, 1948 in Port Neches, to the late, O. T. Johnson and the late, Martha Rachel (Shine) Johnson, he was a longtime resident of Orange.

He had previously lived in Mauriceville, and worked as a laborer for an oilfield company. Roy was of the Pentecostal faith and enjoyed assembling model cars and spending time with friends.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents.

Those who will most cherish his memory, are his friend and caregiver, Laura M. Badeaux of Orange; twin brother, Ray Johnson of Port Arthur; nieces and nephews, Louise Smith, Anthony Reeves, Rachelle Pate and Dewayne Fitzgerald; great niece, Alex Fitzgerald and great nephew, Mason Fitzgerald. Roy is also survived by numerous extended family and friends.

Graveside services were held Saturday, Aug. 31, at the Linscomb Cemetery in Mauriceville, where he was laid to rest next to his parents.
