The Celebration of Life for Mrs. Chaquita Dennis, 31, of Orange will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at the Starlight Church of God in Christ. Rites of Christian Burial will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens under the direction of Sparrow Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m., Saturday, at the church. She died Nov. 29, 2013 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Houston.

An Orange native, she was employed as a Nurse’s Aide at Evergreen Nursing Home in Vinton, La. Survivors include her husband, Norris Dennis, son, Ki’ontae Johnson, daughter, Alayna Richard, her mother, Patricia Hasley, brothers Rubin Woods, Larry Nash, and Lamont Williams, sisters Tasha Williams and Otisa Davenport.
