Officers from the Pinehurst Police Department responded to the following calls between Nov. 21 and Dec. 4:

Nov. 21:

Officer L. Roff conducted a traffic stop in the 2500 block of MLK Jr. Dr. A white female identified as Erianik Howard, 21, was subsequently placed under arrest for four traffic warrants after initially giving a fictitious name.

Officer L. Roff responded to a retail store in the 2500 block of MLK, in reference to an intoxicated person. Crystal Catherine Broomes, 29, was arrested for an outstanding Pinehurst warrant for failure to appear.

Officer C.D. Cowart responded to a disturbance in the 3400 block of Pheasant. Wayne Rowland, 44, was arrested for an outstanding warrant for failure to appear.

Nov. 22:

Officer M. Dempsey responded to a vehicle accident in a parking lot in the 200 block of Strickland Dr. There was one reported injury.


Officer J. Trussell responded to a burglary of a residence at a trailer park in the 3800 block of Pheasant Dr.

Nov. 25:

Officer J. Trussell responded to a restaurant in the 200 block of Strickland Dr. in reference to an intoxicated subject. Matthew Michael Denny, 30, was arrested for public intoxication.

Nov. 27:

Officer M. Dempsey responded to the 3300 block of Old Castle Dr. in reference to a burglary. An unknown person burglarized a vehicle, then used a garage door opener from the vehicle in order to gain entry into the residence. Officer Dempsey discovered another burglarized vehicle on Old Castle Dr. during his investigation.


Chief Fred R. Hanauer III responded to the Orange Parole Office at 851 Dal Sasso Dr., in reference to warrant service. Christopher Musslewhite, 30, was arrested for an outstanding parole warrant and transported to the jail for booking.

Nov. 30:

Officer L. Roff conducted a traffic stop on the service road near 16th St. The driver, Ashley Tillman, 25, was arrested for 13 outstanding traffic warrants.

Officer M. Dempsey responded to a business in the 1800 block of Strickland Dr. in reference to criminal mischief. An unknown person or persons broke a window at the front of the business.

Officer L. Roff conducted a traffic stop in the 800 block of Strickland Dr.. The driver, Amy Singleton, 32, was arrested for outstanding traffic warrants. The passenger, Roger Dale Owen, 28, was also arrested for outstanding traffic warrants.


Officer L. Roff located several suspicious subjects in the parking lot of an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur Dr. A 22 year old female was arrested for failure to identify, a Jefferson County warrant, and three Orange County warrants. A second female was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Dec. 1:

Following a disturbance call, Officer L. Roff arrested a female for outstanding Pinehurst warrants in a trailer park in the 3600 block of W. Park.

Officer M. Dempsey responded to a private property accident in the 2400 block of MacArthur Dr.

Dec. 2:

Officer L. Roff responded to an apartment complex in the 3000 block of MacArthur Dr. in reference to a disturbance. A 22 year old female was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.


Dec. 3:

Officer L. Roff responded to the 1800 block of King Arthur Court in reference to Criminal Mischief. A vehicle was damaged by an unknown person.

Dec. 4:

Officer M. Dempsey responded to a business in the 2500 block of MLK Jr. Dr. in reference to a disturbance. A white female was issued a criminal trespass warning and made to leave the property.
