Orange Community Players presents the musical Les Misérables at 7:37 p.m., May 1, 2, 3; 8, 9, 10; and 2:37 p.m. on Sunday, May 4 and 11,at the Orange Community Players Main Stage Theatre located at 708 W. Division St., in Orange. Tickets are $15 for general admission, and $10 for student tickets.

Before it hit the screen, it hit the stage, and now Les Misérables is coming to Southeast Texas. Based on the 19th-century French novel by Victor Hugo, “the world’s longest-running musical” follows the ex-convict Jean Valjean in his journey to redemption. As the first community theatre performance in Southeast Texas of the full score, this production of the 1987 Tony Award-winner for Best Musical features an elaborate plot and beautiful music sure to delight audience members, whether they are seeing it for their first or 40th time.

OCP's production of Les Misérables will feature some familiar faces from the OCP stage, as well as mid county residents and some even as far as Lake Charles. Les Misérables also has three Orange County children in the roles of Young Eponine, Gavroche and Little Cosette.

The box office is open one hour prior to performances. OCP suggests purchasing your tickets online in advance to avoid sold out shows. Call 882-9137, or visit www.orangecommunityplayers.org.
