Milton Salvo Bernauer, 95, formerly of Bridge City and Port Arthur, passed away Tuesday, March 18, at The Concierge in Houston.

He was born March 25, 1918 in Morgan City, La.,4 to George and Irma Ditch Bernauer. Milton retired from Texaco as a payroll supervisor after 42 years of service.

Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, March 22, at The Methodist Temple in Port Arthur, with the Rev. Russell Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Park. A visitation for family and friends will be Friday evening from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Levingston Funeral Home in Groves.

Milton was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years, Dortha Bernauer.

He is survived by his daughter, Betty Waedemon and husband, Ron of Sugarland, two sons, George Bernauer of Bridge City, and Dr. Dale Bernauer and wife, Madeline of Lake Charles; brother-in-law, Charles Ingraham and wife, Evelyn of Nederland; six grandchildren, Michelle Slaughter and husband, Rowdy, Danny Bernauer, Christy Bernauer, Dr. Bobby Bernauer and wife, Sasha, Mark Waedemon and wife, Erin, and David Waedemon and wife, Sarah; five great grandchildren, two great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
