Betty Bell, 92 of Groves, passed away on Tuesday, July 1, at Christus St. Mary Hospital in Port Arthur. Betty was born in Monterey, Mexico on Sept. 2, 1921 to Marguerite Ricker and Harry Speed.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, James Bell; and a son, James Bell, Jr.

She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Aucoin of Bridge City; daughter-in-law, Rachel Bell of Nederland; sister, Audry Player of New Braunfels; seven grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and a special friend, Bob Gardner for many years.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 3, from 10:00 A.M. until 11:30 A.M. at Clayton Thompson Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow at 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home, with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery.
