A Bridge City woman was struck and killed early Wednesday morning as she was walking on E. Roundbunch Rd. near Douglas St. Judge Derry Dunn identified the woman as 35 year old Natalie Chaisson.

Dunn said the BCPD received a call at about 4:45 am about a woman who appeared to be intoxicated, and walking in the roadway. While the dispatcher was taking information from the caller, another person called the police department and reported that the woman had been hit by a truck.

Judge Dunn said that the woman was hit by a Ford truck, that was driven by a man who was on his way to work. The accident was not far from the man's home, and he was traveling at about 25-30 mph.
