Jimmy E. Hardy, 47, of Spurger died Monday, July 28, at Baptist Hospital of Southeast Texas in Beaumont.

A native of Lake Charles, Jimmy was a longtime resident of Vidor, before moving to Spurger two years ago. Jimmy was a handyman.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 30, at Memorial Funeral Home of Vidor, with burial at Ford Cemetery in Newton.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his mother and step-father Margie and Doug Nichols; father Thomas Earl Hardy; brothers Thomas Wade Hardy, and Larry Joe Hardy.

Jimmy is survived by his son Joshua Earl Hardy; brothers Rick Hardy and wife Patrisha of Spurger, Eugene Hardy and wife Brenda of Orange, Mark Hardy and wife Kristi of Silsbee, Billy Hardy, and George Hardy both of Orange; sisters Rhonda Lewis and husband Lonnie of Orange, Carole Newsome and husband Richard of Bridge City, Millissa Renalds and husband Whon of Vidor, and Ruby Richardson and husband Chad, of Bullard, TN.
