Onion Crusted Pork Chops and Zucchini Fries

Last updated 8/12/2014 at Noon

This is one of the best pork chop / chicken breast meals I have ever eaten. The meat is very moist and tender, and tastes heavenly. My family likes this recipe with baked zucchini fries. I am including both recipes. I really hope y'all enjoy this meal as much as we do. Make sure to serve it with a big ol' glass of sweet tea.

Onion Crusted Pork Chops

pork chops or boneless / skinless chicken breasts

French fried onions

salt and pepper, garlic powder and Cajun seasoning to taste

Pound out and season pork chops or chicken breasts

Generously coat meat with french fried onions

Butter the bottom of a baking dish and place meat inside. Cover with foil.

Bake at 350 for 40-45 minutes. Remove foil and bake 15 minutes.

Remove from oven and serve.

Oven Baked Zucchini Fries

3 zucchini

1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese

1 pack Shake and Bake coating mix (your choice of flavor)

1 small egg

Cut zucchini into sticks, like french fries.

Add cheese to coating mix in shaker bag and shake to combine.

Whisk egg in medium bowl. Add zucchini and coat with egg mixture.

Place "fries" into shaker bag and gently shake to coat.

Spread onto baking sheet sprayed with cooking spray.

Bake at 450 for 12-15 minutes, turning tray after 7 minutes. Fries should be golden brown.

Bon appétit!
