Barbara Ann Upshaw, 74, of Orange passed away Friday, Aug. 22, at Baptist Hospital in Beaumont.

Barbara was born Feb. 19, 1940 in El Dorado, Ar., to Mildred (Butcher) and Ardie Desmond Dickson. She has lived in the Orange area since 1958; moving from Little Rock, AR. She married the love of her life, Kenneth Upshaw, on Dec. 2, 1958 in Port Arthur. Barbara retired from Wal-Mart after 12 years employment as a sale clerk. She loved going camping, cooking, and spending time with her family. Barbara was loving wife, mother, sister, and friend who will be missed dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Norma Jean Grady; brothers, Desmond Dickson, Johnnie Dickson, and Kenneth Dickson.

She is survived by her husband of nearly 56 years, Kenneth Robert Upshaw of Orange; son, Carlton Dallas Upshaw of Hallandale, FL; sisters, Joyce Jones, Delora Holiman and husband, Noel all of Little Rock, Angeline Warren and Linda Diane Harris and husband, Jimmy all of El Dorado.

A visitation will be held Monday, Aug. 25, from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm, at Dorman Funeral Home.

A funeral service will held Tuesday, Aug. 26, at 2:00 pm at the funeral home, with the Rev. Jeff Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Autumn Oaks Memorial Park.
