LU Small Business Development Center offers seminars and workshops

The Lamar University Small Business Development Center has announced the schedule for its fall business development seminars and workshops. Fall workshops begin Sept. 30 with a presentation dedicated to branding. Other topics will include Introduction to Spanish, Bookkeeping 101, credit score management, how to write a business plan and opening a restaurant. Seminars and workshops will be available throughout the fall semester.

“The SBDC prides itself on providing the community the knowledge and guidance needed for the community to pursue their business endeavors,” said Dave Mulcahy, director of the LU Small Business Development Center. “We offer these seminars and workshops for individuals and small businesses to become more effective in the ever changing marketplace of today.”

The Lamar University SBDC is a center of the Gulf Coast SBDC Network serving 32 counties in south and east Texas. The Lamar SBDC is funded in part through a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Small Business Administration.
